We will be returning to Montgomery County on Saturday November 23rd for our next Hurricane Relief Trip.  Our heart is to come alongside those who have been impacted by the storm and meet them right where they are at.  We want to love our neighbors just like we would want to be loved if we were suffering.

HERE ARE SOME WAYS YOU CAN HELP:

  1. Pray for the people of Montgomery County that God will use our efforts to meet their needs and open any closed hearts to the good news of Jesus Christ.  Pray for safety of our teams as we serve.

  2. Debris clean up/Repair team:  We need folks who can run a chainsaw, provide and/or operate heavy machinery (skid steers, tractors with grapplers, etc), perform skilled labor, pick up sticks, push a wheelbarrow, rake a yard, lend a listening ear and share encouragement.

  3. Service Team:  We will be collecting donations for Food Blessings Boxes and Essential Items over the next two weeks.  You can help with organizing and packing these beforehand.  You can help distribute them in Montgomery County.  We will also be putting on a Thanksgiving meal for the community.  You can help prepare and serve this meal too.

  4. Bring yourself or let us use your enclosed trailer to transport donations and equipment the day of this trip.  Please let Pastor Zane know at zane@thegrovechurch.tv

  5. Donate to this effort.  Kingdom Builders will underwrite the Thanksgiving meal and other aspects of this relief trip.

  6. Put together a Food Blessing Box as a family.  Purchase a bulk item to go in a Food Blessing Box.  All Food Blessings Boxes and bulk donations towards them must be received by Sunday November 20th.

    • Spaghetti Noodles

    • Spam

    • Hamburger Helper

    • Rice (bagged)

    • Dried beans (bagged)

    • Hearty Soups such as Progresso or Campbells Hearties

    • Canned Vegetables and Fruit

    • Instant Oatmeal

    • Instant Grits 

    • Cereal bars or granola bars

    • Individual small cereals (Sams has a case of them) or 2 regular-size boxes of cereal (common variety)

    • Boxed pasta salad

    • Canned Vienna Sausage

    • Canned Tuna

    • Canned Chicken

    • Canned Chili

    • Peanut butter (plastic jar)

    • Jelly (plastic jar)

    • Applesauce (plastic jar)

    • Pop tarts 

    • Fruit snacks 

    • Instant Coffee

    • Powdered Creamer

  • Donations can be dropped off at these locations and times.

    1. THE BACK LOBBY of the church Monday-Thursday 9am-4pm and Friday 9am-noon.

    2. THE KITCHEN on Sunday mornings.

    3. THE MAIN LOBBY during ONEWAY service on Friday night or ROOTS Youth Service on Sunday night.
